Prices you can see before you book
One of our core values is to provide good value for money, and that starts with being upfront about what our work costs. Below you'll find every line from our price list, with a plain-language explanation of what each price covers and how we handle the work that needs a quote.
Our brochure puts it this way: “We are efficient, easily approachable, & offer Value for your Time & Money.” Clear pricing is part of that. You shouldn't have to guess what a tax return will cost, and we'd much rather answer cost questions before we start than after.
If you'd like a quick ballpark first, the estimator on this page adds up the most common combinations for you. Then, when you book, we'll confirm the price that applies to your situation.

All of these slips
- T4 – employment income
- T4A – pension, retirement and other income
- T5 – investment income
- T4E – Employment Insurance benefits
- T4RSP – RRSP income
- T4A(P) – Canada Pension Plan benefits
- T4A(OAS) – Old Age Security
- T5007 – social assistance or workers' compensation
- T2202A – tuition
Family details and receipts
- Donations
- Children's information
- Childcare expenses
- Medical expenses
- RRSP receipts
What $60 means in practice
For an employee, retiree, student or family whose paperwork is on that list, the $60 return covers it all. If you have T4s from three different jobs, a T5 from your bank, a T4E for a stretch of Employment Insurance and a stack of donation and medical receipts, that's all part of the same $60 personal return.
The price includes preparing your T1 Personal Income Tax Return and the applicable schedules, claiming the credits that come with your children's information, childcare and medical expenses, and applying your RRSP receipts. Our job is to make sure every eligible item on that list is claimed.
Some returns include items that aren't on that list – rental income on a T776, capital gains from selling shares or property, self-employment income, or other slips such as a T3 or T5008. If any of those apply to you, mention them when you book and we'll confirm the price before we start.
How the driver combinations work
Our driver prices cover taxi, Uber and Skip income – in the line names, a slash means “or” and a plus means “and”.
Taxi Business – $80
For reporting your taxi business income along with the expenses you incurred to earn it, such as fuel, maintenance and other vehicle costs.
Taxi & Uber/Skip – $140
For drivers who earn taxi income and also drive for Uber or deliver for Skip. Both sources of business income are reported together.
Personal + Taxi/Uber/Skip – $140
Your personal tax return together with income from one source of driving work – taxi, Uber or Skip.
Personal + Uber + Skip – $200
Your personal tax return together with both Uber and Skip income, for drivers who earn on more than one platform.
Not sure which fits?
Tell us where your driving income comes from when you book. We'll confirm which line applies before we start, and let you know if a GST return is also needed.
Why self-employed returns are $120 – $200
Self-employed returns are priced as a range because no two businesses keep records the same way. If you're self-employed and not incorporated, you report your business or professional income on form T2125 and deduct the reasonable expenses you incurred to earn it. The work involved depends heavily on what you bring us.
Two things move the price within the range. The first is the volume and organization of your records: a tidy summary of income and expenses by category takes far less time than a box of mixed receipts. The second is the number of income sources: one client or one line of work is simpler than several.
We'll look at your situation and confirm where you fall in the $120 – $200 range before we start. If your records need significant sorting first, we'll talk with you about it up front so the price never comes as a surprise.
Corporate returns and bookkeeping
Our Corporate Tax Return is $625. In general, it covers preparing the required schedules and documentation for your federal and provincial corporate tax filings in compliance with the legislation – the T2 return for the CRA and, for Alberta corporations, generally the Alberta corporate return (AT1) as well. A T2 is due within six months of your fiscal year-end.
A corporate return is only as good as the books behind it. Bookkeeping is charged at $100 per hour, whether it's day-to-day entries or bringing records up to date before year-end. Meaningful, well-organized records are the foundation of a successful business, and they make the year-end work smoother.
Compare and save on bookkeeping and year-end accounting for small and medium size businesses – we're happy to have you weigh our prices against what you're paying now.
- Corporate Tax Return: $625
- Federal and provincial schedules prepared
- Bookkeeping Charges: $100 per hour
- Organized books keep year-end simpler
- Clear prices for small and medium size businesses
Services we quote individually
Some of our services don't have a single listed price because the work involved varies so much from one client to the next. These include payroll, GST returns, business set-up, consultation and CRA compliance work.
Payroll for a small team paid monthly is a very different job from a larger team paid more often, with regular remittances, T4s and Records of Employment. A GST return can be filed monthly, quarterly or annually depending on your revenue and elections. Setting up a business can mean choosing a structure, registering for a Business Number and program accounts, budgeting and arranging financing – or just some of those steps.
Consultation might be advice on acquiring a business or help appealing a personal tax return, and CRA compliance work ranges from answering a processing review to representing you in a GST, payroll or corporate income tax audit. In every case, pricing depends on the work involved, and we'll tell you the cost before we start.
Ways to keep your cost down
A little preparation saves time at your appointment – and for hourly or range-priced work, time is what you pay for.
Organize your receipts
Sort receipts by type – medical, donations, childcare, business expenses – and total them if you can. Organized records help keep self-employed and bookkeeping work at the lower end.
Use our checklist
Tick off your income and deduction items on our Personal Tax Return Checklist when you book. It's attached to your booking, so we know what to expect before you arrive.
Book early
Tax season gets busy. Booking early gives you more appointment times to choose from and leaves room to track down a missing slip before the April 30 deadline.
Bring everything at once
Gather all your slips before your appointment, including your December pay stub if you have medical insurance through your employer. One complete visit beats several partial ones.
Keep a kilometre logbook
If you drive for business, vehicle expenses are claimed based on business-use percentage. A logbook makes that claim straightforward and quicker to prepare.
Keep your books current
Business owners who keep their bookkeeping up to date during the year spend fewer billable hours catching up at year-end.
